Powerex Corp. has an opening for a Summer Intern/Co-op Student. This program is designed for bright, analytical individuals who excelled in their high school and post-secondary education, and who are currently in their second or third years of University studies. If you are a self-starter who is passionate about energy and you have excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills, this may be an opportunity for you. Powerex intends for Rotational Analyst to convert to a permanent role following successful completion of the program.
You will actively support a number of teams throughout the rotational program. This will give you exposure to many aspects of our business including:
- Deal sourcing and assessment
- Risk management; including financial analysis, research, and modeling
- Trade policy and compliance
- Portfolio management; including monthly updating of financial models and providing support to management teams
The Rotational Analyst role is varied as it supports numerous teams throughout Powerex. One candidates’ rotation may not be the same as another’s.

QUALFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate must be enrolled in a University Degree in Commerce (Finance, Accounting), Economics, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Other desired qualifications/experience include:
- Outstanding natural analytical aptitude with attention to detail
- Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with financial modeling skills an asset
- A keen interest in the energy sector and a desire to learn

- Self-aware, humble, and intellectually curious
